Dr. Christopher G Lowe will present his latest research on white sharks. Dr. Lowe is a Professor of Marine Biology and Director of the Shark Lab at California State University, Long Beach.
The Shark Lab utilizes acoustic and satellite telemetry techniques to study the movement, behavior and physiology of sharks, rays, and gamefishes.
This talk with Q&A will take place in the Aquarium’s Honda Pacific Visions Theater. Following the presentation, guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle in our Pacific Visions Art Gallery that will include music, crafts and Paint-A-Fish activities, and a complimentary beverage.
The Aquarium of the Pacific’s First Wednesdays Winter-Spring Season Series 2023 focuses on animals, nature and conservation efforts. The events bring scientists, authors, and other experts into its Honda Pacific Visions Theater for an illustrated talk paired with book signings or meet and greets and cocktail/social hours with music and crafts. The programs are best suited for high school and college students and adults of all ages. Presentations are also live streamed.
